"Well it's not often I have to carry a girl across the forest, now is it?" March said, rolling his eyes. Honestly, girls could be so sensitive sometimes. That's why he liked the ones from the human world better. They were so frazzled coming into Wonderland, they really didn't take offense to anything.
"And if you can't stand being there, why stay? Seems rather foolish to me." the Hare said with a questioning look, even though he couldn't exactly see her. Besides, the girl seemed to have a nice comfy spot under the Joker's foot. If she really hated the Rabbit so much, she could always just be his informant full time.
"I'm sure there are other places you could go."

Mary-Ann shook her head even though he couldn't really see her, "I don't have other places to go. I have to remain at that spot, it's my job, to stay there." she replied. "I can't leave. All I can do is hate it!" she shouted. It was the truth. It wasn't the fact that she owed the White Rabbit, it was the fact the Joker wanted her to remain there for now, until his plans were in full swing. He wanted her to remain there because, being a servant of a trustworthy fellow, would give her opportunities to spy on every little thing in Wonderland.

"I think you do." March said pointedly, but then dropped the matter. They were coming close to the White Rabbit's house, and he would soon be rid of her. There was no point starting an argument now. He would just drop her off and let her be. And hopefully not have to see her again for quite some time.
The forest opened in a few feet into a large clearing where the White Rabbit's house lay, cozy looking, to say the least. He couldn't understand why the girl hated White so much, for in March's eyes, he was a good fellow. But perhaps the girl had her reasons. He wasn't one to judge.
He brought her right up to the door, but paused, unsure of what to do. "Do you want me to leave you here or..." he asked questioningly, glancing with some unease at the door. He wouldn't feel right going into the house without permission.

"You can go in." she said quietly, her attitude changing a bit. "Just set me down somewhere, please." The influence the house had on her was maddening. I'm back to being a servant girl.. she sighed. She had to keep a straight face and her etiquette about her at all times. "I wonder if Master Rabbit is home?" she said calmly.

The Hare pushed the door open with his shoulder, the door swinging open with a loud creek. The house seemed like a cozy home, and you could definitely see the White Rabbit's touch to the home. To their right, a whole wall of clocks ticked continuously. If March lived here, the noise would probably drive him insane. Well, more insane.
A small sofa was in the sitting room that they first entered, so that was where March set down the girl, his face pretty much neutral. "I doubt White will be home just yet. He's always on the run, that Rabbit." he said, letting a small smile slip. "But since I'm done here." he said, giving a small wave, then heading for the door.

"Yes, well. Good day to you then, Mr. Hare," she said as she tried to lift herself off the sofa, managing to get to a standing position and curtsied, soon losing her balence and crashing to the floor.

The March Hare held back laughter when she fell, but quickly strode over to her and picked her up and put her back onto the sofa. "Good day to you, Miss Mary-Ann. But stay on this couch until you leg heals up, so I don't have to fuss over you and I can go have my tea." he said with a pleasant smile.
"Or else I'll have to tie you to that sofa, and I'm sure you don't want that. What if Rabbit doesn't come home for days and you're stuck there. I'd feel awful." he said with a laugh.
"So just stay, right?"

Mary-Ann held an innocent smile on her face, "Of course, I can stay this couch." she quietly. "Though, I can't stay on it long. In a moment I have to start the rest of my chores and prepare Master Rabbit's dinner."
She laughed, "There would be no need for extreme measures, such as having to tie me up. I could easily get out of it in a jiffy." she put back on her innocent smile.
