"Hatter?" she stopped in her tracks. That must be it! she grinned. That fool! He just gave away his accomplice! Of course, it would be the Hatter, who told him such things! she gave laugh of evil delight, causing some of the birds to turn towards her in confusion. She looked around and calmy quieted down. I think I'll just keep following you, dear.
She ran off in the direction the March Hare went, slinking behind objects, and keeping a close eye on the sly rabbit.

March had reached the edge of the forest where he and a majority of the Wonderlandians resided, when he paused suddenly. He had heard something following behind, stopping short just as he had. Feigning ignorance--something he was incredibly good at-- he rummaged around in his coat, as if looking for something he thought to have misplaced.
Grumbling something about butter, he turned in direction and headed back to the beach in the direction of the oyster shop. Maybe this would stop the little brat from following him. The suspicious little thing probably thought it was the Hatter who was starting the revolt--- a silly assumption, seeing as the Hatter barely knew what time of day it was; much less would start some rebellion for a Queen that had made him quarrel with time in the first place.
He hurried across the beach, waving hello at a particular Eaglet he had last seen at one of Hatter's parties. Goodness, maybe the little spy would think the Eaglet was a conspirator now too.

He knows... she thought as he headed back towards the beach. She remained silent, hiding behind a tree. She sighed, Should I follow? she took a step from behind the tree, He knows I'm following...It could very well be a trap. She moved back behind the tree. If I were to go ahead to the Hatter's, instead of following him...it would catch him off guard! she grinned and headed in the opposite direction of the March Hare.
Of course. I have no plan in mind... she thought as she trudged her way through the forest.

After making sure that he hadn't been followed, March simply assumed that he would head back in the direction of the Hatter's, pleasantly happy he had managed to give the little snoop the slip--- a fun phrase to say, so he repeated it to himself out loud a couple of times, grinning as he did.
In such a good mood, he set off at a jogging pace towards the forest again, admiring the bread-and-butterflies that flapped around his head as he entered the forest. Really, Wonderland could be a beautiful place at times. Mad as could be, but still really rather beautiful. He had often wondered how it compared to the human world, but the humans he had seen come through to Wonderland always looked so miserable. He wasn't sure whether this meant that they're world was better, or Wonderland was just too much to handle.
But he would never risk leaving Wonderland just to see what the human world was like. He was happy with the level of madness here, and certainly couldn't deal with anything more or less than what he currently had.

"Oof." she said as she tripped over yet another tree that had fallen to the ground, she quickly stood back up and regained balence. "Why there so many trees around here?" in her frustration she kicked the nearest tree to her and immediately found herself lying on the forest floor shrieking in pain. Well, that was a bright idea.
She regained control and got back on her feet, "I thought the Hatter lived over this way..." she muttered. "But, I was mistaken!" she dodged a low tree branch. "Who would ever want to live in a place with so many freaking trees!" she scowled, and as she was so lost in her frustration, she fell over yet another small, fallen tree, and this time heard a snapping sound.
"MY ANKLE!" she snarled. "Curse this forest. I hope Joker gets rid of it in his future plans as king of Wonderland..."

March's momentary feeling of peace with the forest around him was brought to a crashing halt when he heard shrieks of pain coming from nearby. He certainly recognized the voice, but it had clearly escaped him--- he was known for his inability to remember certain things that he really should know-- and so being the kind gentleman he is, hurried in the direction of the voice. Perhaps it would be one of those silly teens whom he could bring as a present to Hatter's party.
Dashing nimbly over the roots that covered the forest floor, he finally came across the damsel in distress--- which certainly was not a damsel, though she was in distress.
"Ah, Mary-Ann. Seems you've gotten yourself into a bit of a bind." March said, a content grin on his face. "What in heavens are you doing out here in the forest anyway? This is certainly not the way to the White Rabbit's house, nor is it the way to the Castle. Speak girl, why're you here?"

Keep your mouth shut. she remembered the Joker always saying if she were put into a weak spot like this, and an enemy came face-to-face with her, Never speak of your plans.
"It's no matter to you why I'm here." she managed to raise herself to her feet, but quickly fell back to the ground, and gave a small shriek. "It's my business and my business alone!"

"My goodness, you are a loud one." March said, as the girl shrieked at him. "But as for your business... I know you were following me before--- but I also know you wont tell me why." he said, shrugging a bit. Noticing her fall down, he smiled, drawing closer to her.
He took his foot and gently flicked his ankle, so that it made contact with her injured ankle. "Oops, sorry about that." he said with a small grin. "But it looks like that's broken, don't it?" He grinned wider. "But since you wont talk to me, might as well just leave you here. Not like you could go anywhere anyway. Plus, I'm sure all the snarks and the jabberwocks in the forest could use a little bit of a snack..." he said, trailing off and grinning at her.
"Plus, I'm rather late for tea, so helping you from not getting eaten would just make me late."

"Ow!" she screamed as he kicked her broken ankle. She snarled, "Like you could do anything for me! All you can do is grin! You're a pathetic excuse for a Wonderlandian!" she took a nearby rock and chucked it at him. "If you were gonna help me, you would have done it by now, but no, you're too busy flapping your jaws, trying to look cute!" she had lost it. Calm down..., she couldn't. She was already so enraged by the idiot in front of her, she couldn't clam down a bit.

"Temper, temper little girl!" March cried, just barely dodging the rock thrown at him. Oh what a fun little thing she was being right now, all angry and what not. Now she was truly acting mad. But it was getting late.
"But you're right little one, I would have helped you, but it's clear you don't need it." he said with a smile, just to anger her even further. "So I will say adieu." He bowed quickly, then strolled off in the direction of the Hatter's. He paused for a moment, looking back, then called out in a sweet voice. "And send the Jabberwocky my love, will you?"
And he took off.

"FILTHY RABBIT!" she screamed at him as he walked away. Useless is all he is! she crawled over to nearest tree and pushed herself up to her feet. Give the Jabberwocky his love? I'm sure he's /already/ given it to it..filthy rabbit!
Of course, it would be disasterous if I were to die, before I got my revenge on the idiot White Rabbit! And, Joker would be without a spy...
"Help! Someone help me!" she cried out. That hare better get back here...

Ah, the magic of a poor innocent child calling out for help--well certainly minus the innocent. But it melted Marchy's little heart as she called out with her cold, angry voice. But at least she had learned some humility. He hoped.
Turning on his heel, he headed back in her direction, a brow raised, a small smile on his face. "You rang Madame?" he asked with a half-hearted laugh. "Finally going to take some help from someone else?"
He held out his hand for her to take, knowing full well he was going to be late for tea now, assuredly. He was going to have to carry her back all the way to the White Rabbit's house, and he was rather annoyed at that fact. But it was worth adding a little madness into this girl's life.

"I really don't like taking help from other people..." she scowled staring at his hand. Just take it and get it over with, but the question is...Can I trust him?
"Fine." she said taking the offered hand. "Just take me to back to the White Rabbit's House." she was going to hear it when she got back, of course. Sneaking away, then spying, then getting seriously hurt. Oh, she was sure going to hear the filty rabbit's complaints.

When Mary-Ann to his hand, he easily swept her off her feet and onto his back. He took off at a steady pace towards the White Rabbit's house, taking the quickest way he knew. He didn't particularly enjoy carting around injured children, but it was possible that she might return the favor to him one day.
Possible, but highly improbable. But March was not one for probability. Probability didn't count for much in Wonderland anyway. Leaping over a couple of downed trees, he was breathing pretty heavily. "You're kinda heavy." he said quietly, exhaling sharply as he landed on a rather hard patch of dirt. "Thank goodness the Rabbit doesn't live to far. What's he going to say when he sees you like this. You'll probably have him worried sick."

"I'm heavy?" she glared at him as best as she could, "That's not exactly someone you say to a girl, rabbit." she would've kicked him, if he not been her only way out of the forest.
"It won't matter. Yes, he will be worried, but then I'll just get scolded for even leaving." she sighed. "Then, he'll put me back to work with his constant orders." she growled. "I can't stand it there."
